Obama finds another way to improve the economy by firing teachers.
March 03, 2010 11:16
With official unemployment near 10% and real unemployment heading toward 17% http://www.commondreams.org/newswire/2010/02/05-1, President Obama supports the decision of Rhode Island school officials to fire all the teachers at Central Falls High School. That’s one way to create some jobs.
While Central Falls is the poorest and smallest school district in Rhone Island, the President understands what Reagan preached; it’s the fault of the poor for being poor and uneducated. The President also knows that being in poverty is no excuse when it comes to passing standardized test that were written with the middle and upper classes in mind. (read Alfie Kohn’s The Case Against Standardized Testing for more on this.
But that is not excuse. Neither is hunger, the need for students to take care of younger siblings or take jobs, absent parents who work two or three jobs, fewer tax receipts to fund poor schools (especially in a recession), fewer educational resources such as books and stocked libraries for these students. ALL schools should have to pay for testing and achieve similar scoring levels. And by the way, no matter the barriers or improvement in school for the students, if testing goals aren’t met, IT ALL THE FAULT OF THE TEACHERS. Fire them all. In fact, close the department of education. While your at it, you can get rid of the unions that harm so many workers by fighting for benefits and wages.
Thanks for being on the right side this time President Obama.
AND don’t write a letter like my friend TJ Snodgrass did to Obama about this (whitehouse.org).
President Obama,
Your support of the firing of teachers in R.I. is yet another in a long line of inaccurate assessments of our education system by a chief executive.
Again, you show your blatant disregard for workers and unions. You ignore the attempts to improve the school and the economic and social difficulties of running a school in a small and poor district. Your merit based approach will not solve the problems in these schools and will only exacerbate the economic stratification in our nation with wealthy schools getting all of the $900 million bonus money. This approach is narrow minded and ignores the reality of education in America. Instead of blaming hard working educators, you should work to better the harsh conditions in which these students live and have to learn.
TJ Snodrass

Obama Gambles with Canada: On Hockey and Health Care
As we have been telling y’all for months, heck years, Canadian health care sucks because you have to wait to have knees replaced and shit. (link) And in the United States, you never have to wait for surgery or any medical procedure or check up ever; thus, out finger pointing is completely justified. (“In reality, both data and anecdotes show that the American people are already waiting as long or longer than patients living with universal health-care systems.”) (link)
So, while Obama is chumming up to Canada on the health care front, he decided to wager with the Canadian Prime Minister Harper on the US vs. Canada gold medal game at the Olympics. First off, only socialists (former Soviets, Canadians and Swedes) care about hockey. Betting on hockey only adds to Obama’s socialist cred. Also, isn’t gambling illegal? Arrest Obama NOW! I demand it. Why the cover up?
They say that Obama made a “friendly wager” with Harper. (link) Our president should NOT be friendly with socialists. And while Obama bet for beers, an all-American drink, he bet for a case of “Yuengling”. What the hell is a Yuengling? I thought that was the name of the panda at the Washington, D.C. zoo. Canada won, so Obama won’t be getting any commie beer from the socialist Prime minister of Canada, for now.

Conservative Patriots Against Communism
CPAC Saves the World from Socialism

CPAC 2010 was an Obama hate fest. He’s the devil incarnate, criminal, socialist, Arab loving appeaser, and everything is his fault. (link) CPAC Republicans have put the past behind them, at least the past eight years. Don’t worry patriots; Saint Reagan of the 80s is still remembered fondly.
The speakers at CPAC last month also talked out against government spending, because now, a Democrat is in office.
Never mind that George W. Bush, Cheney's boss and protege, "increased government spending more than any of the six presidents preceding him, including LBJ," according to Veronique de Rugy of the Mercatus Center. (De Rugy, a former research analyst at the Cato Institute and former fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, continues: "In his last term in office, President Bush increased discretionary outlays by an estimated 48.6 percent. During his eight years in office, President Bush spent almost twice as much as his predecessor, President Clinton. Adjusted for inflation, in eight years, President Clinton increased the federal budget by 11 percent. In eight years, President Bush increased it by a whopping 104 percent." (link)
While being against spending, unless it’s spending for a state with Republican Senators or Governors, CPAC is also against gay marriage.
Opening speaker Marco Rubio, who’s running against RINO (Republican in Name Only) Florida Governor Charlie Crist for a Florida Senate seat, says “don’t ask; don’t tell” shouldn’t be repealed. I concur!
With troop shortages growing, and more and more war, we don’t need gays. Supporting troops doesn’t mean with have to like gays.
What’s worst about Crist is that he didn’t hypocritically accept stimulus money; he came right out and accepted it up front without complaint. If you are going to take stimulus money, you better later say the stimulus was a bad idea.
Later in the program, Dick Armey, the former House Majority Leader and current chairman of the astroturf group, FreedomWorks, graced the stage. He's not exactly a champion of gay rights. (Armey once referred to openly gay Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank as "Barney Fag.") (link)
Way to go Mr. Army. You showed that Barney Fag that your position on the issues is correct because he’s gay. Snap! Yes, and Barney Fag’s wrong because he’s gay. Snap squared!
At CPAC, they make it clear that liberals are out to ruin this nation.
Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-GA) delivered the following remarks today the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference. “Take it back from a vile liberal agenda that is threatening everything we hold dear as Americans.” “We are fighting because our nation has slipped into the hands of a party whose liberal vision is incompatible with the America that most of us know and love.”
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=35723
Besides, liberals are all fat cocaine users as this brilliant young Republican, Jason Mattera, makes up for no apparent reason except to get applause from the Obama haters in the crowd.
And CPAC is for your average Americans that make up the tea partiers; thus, CPAC sponsors include several military contractors, energy companies, pharmaceutical companies, other medical devices and insurance companies, oil and chemical companies and communications companies.

These corporations represent the little guy in America I tell ya. That is your Republican and Democrat base, the corporations that keep America great, NOT the workers that make the corporations function. So please go on hating gays and socialism and unions and liberals and job stimulus programs while corporate welfare runs amuck. Yea CPAC!
